A total of 125 patients with vertebrogenic lumbosacral radiculities and lumbar ischialgias (in many cases they were prolonged) were treated by the authors' original technique of the intra- and subcutaneous injection of autoblood in the projection of 3 pain points or (in the absence of their accentuation) in predetermined points. The treatment was effective in 83.9% of the patients including many in whom the previous treatment with other methods showed poor response. Alleviation of pain and its objective manifestations was attended by improvement in patients' general motor activity and sleep. Additional ultrasound exposure of the sites where the blood was administered did not enhance the efficacy of the treatment. The advantages of the technique are considered.
