Treatment of ectopic pregnancy with laparoscopic resection in a community hospital.

Morbidity associated with the traditional surgical treatment of ectopic pregnancy has caused a reexamination of this treatment. Laparoscopy was used successfully in surgically treating 22 patients with ectopic pregnancy. It should be considered for hemodynamically stable patients who have ectopic pregnancy without tubal rupture.
