Abstract

Analysis of synaptic responses to some odorants in 16 secondary olfactory neurons and 5 granule cells of carp olfactory bulb revealed that the periodic discharges of secondary neurons, synchronous with the induced waves, were generated on the basis of dendrodendritic inhibitory interaction with granule interneurons. The mechanisms of tonic, asynchronous discharges in some secondary neurons remained not quite clear.
