The purpose of this article is to provide an update on clinical PET/MRI, including current and developing clinical indications and technical developments.
CONCLUSION
PET/MRI is evolving rapidly, transitioning from a predominant research focus to exciting clinical practice. Key technical obstacles have been overcome, and further technical advances promise to herald significant advancements in image quality. Further optimization of protocols to address challenges posed by this hybrid modality will ensure the long-term success of PET/MRI.
