Abstract
A patient presented with widespread small cell carcinoma, abnormalities on liver function tests, and rapidly progressive lactic acidosis. The acidosis was totally corrected following chemotherapy. Prompt treatment in tumor-associated lactic acidosis may significantly prolong survival.
