The taxonomic structure of the genus Thysanoptyx Hampson, 1894 is discussed, and the genus is subdivided into five species-groups. Two new species, T. indosinica Volynkin Dubatolov, sp. nov. from Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, and T. mirifica Volynkin Dubatolov, sp. nov. from Vietnam are described. Adults, male and female genitalia of the new species and their congeners are illustrated. The checklist of the genus Thysanoptyx is presented.
