: The aim of this study was to analyze immunohistochemical and immunocytological findings by examining enucleated eyes and vitreous cell block (CB) in patients with vitreoretinal lymphoma (VRL).: Histological specimens were obtained from two enucleated eyes with VRL associated with neovascular glaucoma. CB specimens were prepared in 18 patients from diluted waste fluids containing shredded vitreous. Histological and cytological specimens were submitted for hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunopathological analyses.: Both specimens demonstrated massive infiltration of large lymphoma cells. The lymphoma cells were positive for CD20 and MUM-1 in enucleated eyes. Membranous immunoreactivity for CD20 was observed in lymphoma cells in CB with VRL. Bcl-6 and MUM-1 were marked in five and eight out of nine cases examined, respectively: Cytological findings in CB specimens indicated similar histopathological characteristics of enucleated eyes. CB specimens obtained from vitreous waste diluted fluids may serve as effective materials for cytological diagnosis of VRL.

对两例伴有新生血管性青光眼的 VRL 眼内容剜除术获得的组织学标本,以及 18 例从稀释的含碎玻璃体的废玻璃体中制备的 CB 标本,进行了苏木精-伊红染色和免疫病理学分析。
组织学和细胞学标本均显示大量大淋巴瘤细胞浸润。眼内容剜除术标本中的淋巴瘤细胞 CD20 和 MUM-1 阳性,VRL 的 CB 中的淋巴瘤细胞 CD20 膜免疫反应阳性。Bcl-6 和 MUM-1 在 9 例检查中分别标记了 5 例和 8 例。CB 标本的细胞学检查结果表明与眼内容剜除术标本具有相似的组织病理学特征。从稀释的玻璃体废水中获得的 CB 标本可作为 VRL 细胞学诊断的有效材料。
