Trevor's disease, also known as dyplasia epiphysealis hemimelica, is characterised by osteochondromas arising from epiphyses. The disease typically affects one side of an epiphysis (usually the medial side).
A case in whom both the medial and lateral sides of the epiphysis were involved is described. Thus, the use of the descriptor "hemimelica" is not always appropriate.
Although rare, Trevor's disease should be kept in mind during the differential diagnosis of patients with ankle pain and a mass. Other possible joints should be examined to explore multiple involvement. Surgical treatment, only on lesions causing impingements, may improve functional status and reduce pain.
特雷弗氏病，也称为半侧肢体骨骺发育异常，其特征是骨骺部位出现骨软骨瘤。该病通常影响骨骺的一侧（通常是内侧）。
本文描述了一例骨骺内侧和外侧均受累的病例。因此，使用“半侧肢体”这一描述并不总是合适的。
尽管罕见，但在诊断踝关节疼痛伴肿块的患者时，应考虑特雷弗氏病。应检查其他可能受累的关节以排查多处受累情况。仅对引起撞击的病变进行手术治疗，可能会改善功能状态并减轻疼痛。
