: The literature analysis has shown the risk of victimization in nursing professions. To date, very few studies have focused on the behavioral differences characterizing the stalking campaign, the consequences (physical and emotive), and the coping strategies adopted by victims (male and female nurses).
: The aim of this work was to compare the victimization experience of men and women working as nurses in public hospitals.
: 2.154 nurses were asked to fill a self-administered questionnaire and 765 (35.5%) filled it. Victims were 221 (29.8%), 172 (77.8%) female and 49 (22.2%) male.

: Possible strategies for preventing the phenomenon are discussed, highlighting the percentage (8.2% among female victims, 5.8% among male victims) of those who have reported to the police.
