Sixteen patients with hydrocephalus which developed after operations on the posterior fossa were studied by radioisotope ventriculography. The results indicate that postoperative hydrocephalus is of communicating type, and that block of the basal cisterns is always present. Mechanisms involved in its pathogenesis are discussed, and it is felt that pre-existent adhesions in basal cisterns, surgical bleeding and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) extra-arachnoidal collections are possible causes of the hydrocephalus.
对16例后颅窝手术后发生脑积水的患者进行了放射性核素脑室造影研究。结果表明,术后脑积水为交通性脑积水,且总是存在基底池梗阻。文中讨论了其发病机制,认为基底池内先前存在的粘连、手术出血和蛛网膜下腔脑脊液积聚可能是脑积水的病因。
