Toolbox of solutions: Chronic Pain management begins with counseling patients on achieving realistic pain relief goals. Engage patients in the management and treatment of their pain. Be open to multidisciplinary approaches. Goals should focus on reducing pain severity, improving functionality and gaining a better quality of life--not the immediate elimination of all pain.
