Having had a previous experience of 4 open F2 osteotomies to correct interphalangeal hallux valgus, the aim of this study was to test the efficacy of a percutaneous approach for this correction.
3 open and 12 percutaneous F2 osteotomies in 15 cadaver feet were performed. Interphalangeal (IPH), F2 asymmetry (AF2) and joint deviation (JD) angles were measured on radiographs. The operated great toes were anatomically analyzed looking for possible lesions to surrounding tissues.
Mean IPH decreased from 10.7° to 2.9°, AF2 from 7.8° to 1°, and JD from 1.4° to 0.5°. Damage to the hallux extensor tendon was detected in 1 foot and a nail bed lesion was detected in 1 case, both operated percutaneously.
F2 Valgus deformity can be corrected using open or percutaneous osteotomy. The authors consider the open correction worthwhile because percutaneous techniques may damage surrounding tissues and the incision length difference is minor.
既往有4次开放性F2截骨术矫正趾间拇外翻的经验,本研究的目的是测试经皮入路矫正该畸形的疗效。
对15具尸体足进行3次开放性和12次经皮F2截骨术。在X线片上测量趾间(IPH)、F2不对称(AF2)和关节偏移(JD)角度。对手术的拇趾进行解剖分析,寻找周围组织可能的损伤。
平均IPH从10.7°降至2.9°,AF2从7.8°降至1°,JD从1.4°降至0.5°。1例经皮手术的足中检测到拇长伸肌腱损伤,1例检测到甲床损伤。
F2外翻畸形可通过开放性或经皮截骨术矫正。作者认为开放性矫正值得采用,因为经皮技术可能会损伤周围组织,且切口长度差异较小。
