Abstract

The customary method for radionuclide imaging in patients with testicular pain is to image the scrotal region using Tc-99m pertechnetate. Acute obstructive uropathy was found to be the cause of the testicular pain in three adult patients with normal testicular perfusion using Tc-99m DTPA. Tc-99m DTPA is recommended for testicular imaging with concomitant imaging of the kidneys and ureters, particularly in the adult patient.
