Abstract

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE

This study examines whether pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) can achieve a high rate of reattachment in primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachments (RRDs) caused by inferior breaks in phakic eyes.

PATIENTS AND METHODS

Patients with primary, phakic RRD with inferior retinal breaks repaired by PPV, endolaser, and gas tamponade between January 2012 and December 2016 were included.

RESULTS

Twenty-six eyes from 26 patients were included. Mean patient age was 61.7 years (range: 38 years to 82 years). Thirteen RRDs were macula-involving, with an average of 2.00 ± 0.70 quadrants and 2.50 ± 2.00 breaks. Twenty-three of 26 eyes (88.5%) were attached at postoperative month (POM) 3. Mean logMAR visual acuity was 0.72 ± 0.84 at baseline, 0.65 ± 0.44 at POM 3, 0.44 ± 0.50 at POM 12, and 0.43 ± 0.36 at the final visit.

CONCLUSION

Single-surgery success rate of phakic RRD caused by inferior breaks repaired by PPV is high. [Ophthalmic Surg Lasers Imaging Retina. 2019;50:153-158.].

背景与目的

本研究探讨在有晶状体眼下方裂孔所致的原发性孔源性视网膜脱离（RRD）中，玻璃体切割术（PPV）能否实现较高的视网膜复位率。

患者与方法

纳入2012年1月至2016年12月间因下方视网膜裂孔接受PPV、眼内激光及气体填充治疗的原发性有晶状体眼RRD患者。

结果

纳入26例患者的26只眼。患者平均年龄61.7岁（范围：38岁至82岁）。13例RRD累及黄斑，平均累及2.00±0.70个象限，有2.50±2.00个裂孔。26只眼中有23只（88.5%）在术后3个月视网膜复位。基线时平均logMAR视力为0.72±0.84，术后3个月为0.65±0.44，术后12个月为0.44±0.50，末次随访时为0.43±0.36。
