AIM AND BACKGROUND
Social anxiety can interfere with performance and academic success in students. One of the third-generation treatments for social anxiety is acceptance and commitment therapy. Therefore, the current study aims to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment group therapy on social anxiety of female dormitory residents of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
METHODS
This was a semiempirical study with pre- and posttest conducted on 71 female students living in the dormitory of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. The study was carried out in five training sessions using the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale and second version of acceptance and commitment scale whose validity and reliability were confirmed. Data were analyzed using Student's -test.
RESULTS
The findings showed that acceptance and commitment group therapy has affected the social anxiety in female dormitory residents of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences ( < 0.0001).
CONCLUTIONS
The findings of this study can be used by student deputies of universities, consultation centers, as well as counselors and psychologists to improve the conditions for students.
目的与背景
社交焦虑会干扰学生的表现和学业成就。接纳与承诺疗法是社交焦虑的第三代治疗方法之一。因此，本研究旨在确定接纳与承诺团体治疗对伊斯法罕医科大学女生宿舍居民社交焦虑的有效性。
方法
这是一项半实证研究，对71名居住在伊斯法罕医科大学宿舍的女学生进行了前后测。该研究通过五次培训课程进行，使用了利博维茨社交焦虑量表和接纳与承诺量表第二版，其有效性和可靠性得到了证实。数据采用学生t检验进行分析。
结果
研究结果表明，接纳与承诺团体治疗对伊斯法罕医科大学女生宿舍居民的社交焦虑有影响（P<0.0001）。
结论
本研究结果可供大学学生代表、咨询中心以及辅导员和心理学家用于改善学生的状况。
