The haloalkaliphilic bacterium DSM 15402 was isolated from a mineral pool. It grows aerobically at an optimum of 15% (wt/vol) salinity and pH 9.0. The draft genome consists of approximately 3.52 Mb and contains 3,434 predicted genes. Various genes are potentially involved in the adaptation mechanisms for both osmotic stress and pH homeostasis, providing insight into specific adaptations to this double-extreme environment.
嗜盐碱细菌DSM 15402是从一个矿泉池中分离出来的。它在盐度为15%(重量/体积)、pH值为9.0的条件下进行有氧生长。基因组草图约由352万个碱基对组成,包含3434个预测基因。各种基因可能参与渗透胁迫和pH值稳态的适应机制,从而深入了解对这种双重极端环境的特定适应性。
