Two new sesquiterpenoid glycosides as dihydrophaseic acid 4'--[6″--(4″'-hydroxy-3″', 5″'-dimethoxy) benzoyl)]--D-glucopyranoside () and dihydrophaseic acid 4'--[6″--(3″'-methoxy- 4″'-hydroxy) benzoyl)]-β-D-glucopyranoside (), were isolated from the stems of in the study. The compound and showed moderate scavenging activity in DPPH free radical assay with IC values of 241 and 264 μM, respectively.
