Abstract

In cats electric stimuli were applied to the wall of the outer auditory canal. Five hundred stimuli were averaged by computer technique. Thus two potentials with different latencies could be obtained. As these potentials disappeared after selectively resecting the vestibular nerve, it is assumed that these potentials were real vestibular brain stem potentials.
