The aim of this paper is to report a clinical case of nasal floor elevation and simultaneous dental implant placement.
The patient presented to the clinic of the Center of Education and Research on Dental Implants (CEPID) in the Department of Dentistry at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC, Florianópolis, Brazil), for follow-up for peri-implantitis control. After clinical and radiographic assessment, two of three implants on anterior maxilla were removed. A cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan revealed no bone height for conventional length implant insertion. Nasal floor elevation and simultaneous implant placement were performed, with nasal cavity augmentation carried out with bovine bone graft. After six months, the implants were reopened successfully.
Nasal floor elevation proved to be a reliable method for dental implants insertion on the anterior atrophic maxilla when bone height reconstruction was necessary. The use of bovine bone substitutes for nasal cavity augmentation showed predictable results as well as simultaneous implant placement.
本文旨在报告一例鼻底提升并同期植入牙种植体的临床病例。
患者前往巴西圣卡塔琳娜联邦大学(UFSC,弗洛里亚诺波利斯)牙科学院种植牙教育与研究中心(CEPID)的诊所,进行种植体周围炎控制的随访。经过临床和影像学评估,拔除了上颌前部三颗种植体中的两颗。锥形束计算机断层扫描(CBCT)显示没有足够的骨高度来植入常规长度的种植体。于是进行了鼻底提升并同期植入种植体,使用牛骨移植材料对上颌窦进行增隙。六个月后,成功重新打开种植体。
当需要进行骨高度重建时,鼻底提升被证明是在上颌前部萎缩区域植入牙种植体的可靠方法。使用牛骨替代材料进行上颌窦增隙以及同期植入种植体均显示出可预测的结果。
