Abstract

An unprecedented diastereomeric pair [, ΔΛ (); , ΔΔ/ΛΛ ()] involving a doubly oxido-carboxylato-bridged mixed-valent RuRu (dd, = /) state in [(acac)Ru(μ-O)(μ-CHCOO)Ru(acac)] (acac = acetylacetonate) was structurally characterized. and ( = +, 0, -) display comparable spectroelectrochemical features for the accessible redox states.
