Abstract
Report on experiences with a balloon embolisation method. The balloon was detached from the catheter using a new thermo-electric technique. In five patients between 11 and 18 years seven intracranial fistulas were treated and permanently occluded. All five patients were injured in motor-vehicle accidents.
