Abstract

OBJECTIVE

The present study explored the efficiency of shear wave elastography (SWE) in diagnosing papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC).

METHODS

This retrospective study constituted of 446 patients with 510 thyroid nodules. SWE values and ultrasound parameters of each nodule were used for comparison and analysis.

RESULTS

The ultrasonography findings between malignant and benign nodules differed significantly (P< 0.05). The benign and PTMC nodule groups showed a remarkable difference in the stiffness, i.e., higher SWE values.

CONCLUSION

SWE is useful in diagnosing micro thyroid nodules, and the values were significantly correlated with tumor size and thyroid capsule invasion of PTMC.

目的

本研究旨在探讨剪切波弹性成像(SWE)在诊断甲状腺微小乳头状癌(PTMC)中的效率。

方法

本回顾性研究纳入了 446 例 510 个甲状腺结节患者。对每个结节的 SWE 值和超声参数进行了比较和分析。

结果

恶性和良性结节的超声表现差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。良性和 PTMC 结节组在硬度方面存在显著差异,即 SWE 值较高。

结论

SWE 对诊断甲状腺微小结节具有一定的应用价值,其值与肿瘤大小和 PTMC 甲状腺包膜侵犯显著相关。
