Measurements of temperature in suspension of rat liver mitochondria were registered by thermovisor. Temperature increase per 1 K was observed under succinate oxidation in state 4 which is considerably higher than that under oxidation of pyruvate and malate. Uncoupling of succinate oxidation produced an additional temperature increase.
