Abstract

• Symptoms of right-sided endocarditis include fever and respiratory symptoms. • Most cases of right-sided endocarditis resolve with conservative medical treatment. • The mortality of fungal endocarditis is high, and surgical treatment is indicated. • Tricuspid valvectomy is a surgical alternative in drug-abusing patients. • Assessing right ventricular function is challenging after tricuspid valvectomy.
