Abstract

Cubic NaPS (c-NaPS), a high temperature phase of NaPS, is successfully prepared by liquid-phase shaking from NaS and PS in methyl acetate medium. The effects of the amount of solvents, NaS and heat treatment on the formation of c-NaPS are carefully investigated. In addition to c-NaPS, an unknown phase is also detected in the sample containing an excess amount of NaS in the starting materials mixture.
