Abstract

SUMMARY

We present the first tool of gene prediction, PlasGUN, for plasmid metagenomic short-read data. The tool, developed based on deep learning algorithm of multiple input Convolutional Neural Network, demonstrates much better performance when tested on a benchmark dataset of artificial short reads and presents more reliable results for real plasmid metagenomic data than traditional gene prediction tools designed primarily for chromosome-derived short reads.

我们提出了第一个用于质粒宏基因组短读数据的基因预测工具 PlasGUN。该工具基于多输入卷积神经网络的深度学习算法开发,在人工短读数据集的基准测试中表现出更好的性能,并为真正的质粒宏基因组数据提供比主要针对染色体衍生短读设计的传统基因预测工具更可靠的结果。
