[Changes of the voice in the Lombard reflex].

In a noisy background the vocal intensity increases (Lombard reflex). The same effect is produced by binaural masking. We demonstrate the regulation of the vocal intensity in the beginning of phonation in eight normal subjects by Hilbert transformation via an FFT analyser. The signals were recorded under normal conditions and with binaural masking. The results are discussed.
