A 9-year-old boy with a widely displaced Type-III supracondylar humerus fracture presented with a painful mass at the antecubital fossa after pin fixation. Exploration of the mass caused bleeding from a brachial artery pseudoaneurysm that necessitated repair with a saphenous vein graft. Six weeks later, the fracture had healed without complications.
We describe an unusual presentation of a pediatric supracondylar humerus fracture that highlights the importance of including vascular injury in the differential diagnosis for similar presentations.
