Abstract
During an epidemic of meningococcal meningitis in Nigeria a patient developed pericarditis and acute urinary retention in addition to arthritis and cutaneous vasculitis. The occurrence of these complications in the same temporal pattern suggests that immunological mechanisms were responsible for their causation.
