In every second male aged 25-64 years from a representative random sample of a Novosibirsk district, relationships were examined between types A and B behavior, occupation, education, and some somatic parameters. Type A behavior was found to be associated with higher occupation and education levels. The individuals with type A behavior more frequently showed elevated levels of cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and increased indices of body weight and atherogenicity as compared to those with type B behavior.
