Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To assess the benefits of statins on lipid profile in kidney transplant recipients via a meta-analysis.

METHODS

We systematically identified peer-reviewed clinical trials, review articles, and treatment guidelines from PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Wanfang, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), SinoMed (CBM), and Chongqing VIP databases from inception to April 2019. In the analysis, only randomized controlled clinical trials performed in human were included.

RESULTS

Eight articles were included in the analysis, involving 335 kidney transplant recipients who received statins and 350 kidney transplant patients as the control group. Results revealed that statins improved the lipid profile of kidney transplant recipients. Specifically, statin therapy significantly reduced total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. However, it had no effects on high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

CONCLUSIONS

The present study provides valuable knowledge on the potential benefits of statins in kidney transplant recipients. This meta-analysis shows that statin therapy modifies the lipid profile in this patient population.

方法

我们系统地从 PubMed、Embase、Cochrane 图书馆、万方、中国国家知识基础设施(CNKI)、中国生物医学文献数据库(SinoMed,CBM)和重庆维普数据库中检索了从建库至 2019 年 4 月的同行评审的临床试验、综述文章和治疗指南。在分析中,仅纳入了在人类中进行的随机对照临床试验。

结果

分析纳入了 8 篇文章,共涉及 335 例接受他汀类药物治疗的肾移植受者和 350 例肾移植患者作为对照组。结果显示,他汀类药物改善了肾移植受者的血脂谱。具体来说,他汀类药物治疗显著降低了总胆固醇和低密度脂蛋白胆固醇。然而,它对高密度脂蛋白胆固醇和甘油三酯水平没有影响。

结论

本研究为他汀类药物在肾移植受者中的潜在益处提供了有价值的知识。这项荟萃分析表明,他汀类药物治疗可改变该患者人群的血脂谱。
