Four examples of multilocular cyst of the kidney occurring in adult Chinese women are reported. This uncommon lesion has distinctive sonographic and clinicopathological features. The aetiology and pathogenesis are unknown. The differential diagnosis, pre-operative evaluation, and treatment are discussed.
