Chronic dislocation of the temporomandibular joint has been dealt with by a variety of conservative and surgical maneuvers. Two surgical procedures, the temporomandibular arthroplasty, and the temporal fascia flap, with a capsulorraphy, are described as reliable methods for dealing with this problem.
