Abstract

Evarts A. Graham achieved greatness through his many contributions to the art and science of surgery. He was also outstanding in promulgating the highest standards possible in areas of surgical education and ethics. The qualities of charcter that made him such an outstanding leader affected all who worked with him and helped immeasurably in the further evolution of surgery into a productive and valuable discipline.
