The ability to enlarge circumferentially varied in dependence on the equality of geometrical characteristics and degree of relaxation of smooth muscle in the segments of human middle cerebral artery. The most informative biomechanical parameter characterizing arterial ability to vasodilatation was found to be the parameter B. The latter was shown to change at different values of the pressure, thus determining the changes of vasoactive drugs effectiveness in different conditions.
