A new apterous genus and species, Oblongocoris hainanensis gen. and sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aradidae: Carventinae), are described from Hainan, China. The diagnostic morphological features of the new genus and species are discussed and illustrated, and a key to genera of Carventinae from Hainan Island is presented.
