Tracheal stenosis is able to lead to airway obstruction.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety profile of Montgomery T-tube implantation in patients with tracheal stenosis.
Fifty-two patients with tracheal stenosis diagnosed between 2016 and 2019 were included in this retrospective cohort study. The patients were divided into observation group ( = 25 cases) and control group ( = 27). The therapeutic effect, arterial blood gas analysis, arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO), arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO), shortness of breath score, airway diameter change, dyspnea score, quality of life, and safety were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.
The therapeutic effect of the observation group gained better results than that of the control group (84.00% vs. 62.96%). One week after operation, the pH value, SaO, PaCO, shortness of breath score, airway diameter change, dyspnea score, life quality, and incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group exerted better results as compared to the control group.
The implantation of Montgomery T-tube has effective function in terms of improving the symptoms of dyspnea and the life quality of patients with safety profile in patients harboring tracheal stenosis.

本回顾性队列研究纳入了2016年至2019年期间诊断为气管狭窄的52例患者。将患者分为观察组(25例)和对照组(27例)。比较两组治疗前后的治疗效果、动脉血气分析、动脉血氧分压(PaO)、动脉血二氧化碳分压(PaCO)、气短评分、气道直径变化、呼吸困难评分、生活质量及安全性。
观察组的治疗效果优于对照组(84.00%对62.96%)。术后1周,观察组的pH值、SaO、PaCO、气短评分、气道直径变化、呼吸困难评分、生活质量及术后并发症发生率均优于对照组。
对于气管狭窄患者,植入蒙哥马利T形管在改善患者呼吸困难症状及生活质量方面具有有效作用,且安全性良好。
