Abstract

The squid is commercially important fishery species in many coastal regions of Asia. In this study, we described the complete mitochondrial genome of . The genome is 17,353 bp in length, encoding the standard set of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, with circular organization. The overall base composition of the whole mitochondrial genome was A (39.56%), T (31.71%), G (9.05%) and C (19.68%) with an AT bias of 71.27%. The longest protein-coding genes of these species was , whereas the shortest .
