Abstract

, a threatened plant endemic to Southwest China, is of great importance for landscaping because of its lotus-like creamy flowers. In this study, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of was assembled based on the Illumina sequences. The cp genome of was 159,470 bp in length and contained a pair of inverted regions (IR, 26,409 bp) which were separated by the small single copy (SSC, 18,760 bp) and the large single copy (LSC, 87,892 bp) regions. It encoded 132 genes including 86 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA ribosomal genes. The overall AT content of cp genome is 60.7%. The maximum likelihood phylogenetic analysis revealed that the species of was isolated first among the genus . This result will be helpful for the conservation and phylogeny programs of the genus .

一种中国西南地区特有的濒危植物,因其莲花状的乳白色花朵而在园林景观中具有重要意义。在本研究中,基于Illumina序列组装了该植物的完整叶绿体(cp)基因组。该植物的cp基因组长度为159,470 bp,包含一对反向重复区域(IR,26,409 bp),它们被小单拷贝(SSC,18,760 bp)和大单拷贝(LSC,87,892 bp)区域隔开。它编码132个基因,包括86个蛋白质编码基因、37个tRNA基因和8个rRNA核糖体基因。该植物cp基因组的总体AT含量为60.7%。最大似然系统发育分析表明,该属物种在该属中首先分化出来。这一结果将有助于该属的保护和系统发育研究。
