Retraction.

"Upregulated microRNA-31 inhibits oxidative stress-induced neuronal injury through the JAK/STAT3 pathway by binding PKD1 in mice with ischemic stroke" from the Journal of Cellular Physiology, published online on 13 September 2019 in Wiley Online Library (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/jcp.29146), and in Volume 235, pp. 2414-2428, has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor-in-Chief, Gregg B. Fields, and John Wiley and Sons Ltd. The retraction follows an investigation which identified major flaws in the experimental design, leading to concerns about the validity of the results and the conclusions. The authors disagree with this decision.
