Abstract

We report for the first time, the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of the porbeagle shark, , from a specimen collected from offshore waters of New England, USA in the western North Atlantic Ocean. The genome structure of this species is similar to the other reported shark mitogenomes. The genome sequence has a total length of 16,697 bases; similar in size to the mtDNA genomes reported for other lamnid species. A Bayesian phylogenetic tree was reconstructed for the Lamnidae family using mitogenome sequences available in the Genbank.

我们首次报告了姥鲨的完整线粒体基因组序列,该样本采集于美国新英格兰近海水域,即北大西洋西部。该物种的基因组结构与其他已报道的鲨鱼线粒体基因组相似。基因组序列全长16,697个碱基,大小与其他鼠鲨科物种报道的线粒体DNA基因组相似。利用Genbank中现有的线粒体基因组序列,重建了鼠鲨科的贝叶斯系统发育树。
