Renal replacement therapy for patients suffering from multiple Asian giant hornet stings: A retrospective study.

BACKGROUND
From June 2013 to June 2018, patients suffering from Asian giant hornet stings were treated with renal replacement therapy (RRT) in our hospital. We analysed the efficacy of different modalities of RRT in these patients.
METHODS
A comprehensive clinical history was recorded and a complete physical examination was done for each patient. Three different treatment plans were used in these patients according to the acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) II score. These were: (i) haemoperfusion (HP) and intermittent haemodialysis (IHD); (ii) HP and continuous veno-venous haemofiltration (CVVH); and (iii) HP, CVVH and plasma exchange (PE).
RESULTS
The average time of RRT was shorter in HP and CVVH or HP, CVVH and PE groups than in the HP and IHD group, and the patients who received HP and CVVH or HP, CVVH and PE had lower levels of blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine after RRT for 7 days.
CONCLUSION
Our study suggests that HP and CVVH or HP, CVVH and PE are effective treatments for patients suffering from Asian giant hornet stings, who require RRT.
背景
从 2013 年 6 月至 2018 年 6 月，在我院接受肾替代治疗（RRT）的亚洲大黄蜂蜇伤患者。我们分析了这些患者不同 RRT 模式的疗效。
方法
对每位患者均记录了全面的临床病史和完整的体格检查。根据急性生理学和慢性健康评估（APACHE）II 评分，对这些患者采用了三种不同的治疗方案：（i）血液灌流（HP）和间歇性血液透析（IHD）；（ii）HP 和连续静脉-静脉血液滤过（CVVH）；和（iii）HP、CVVH 和血浆置换（PE）。
结果
与 HP 和 IHD 组相比，HP 和 CVVH 或 HP、CVVH 和 PE 组的 RRT 平均时间更短，并且在 RRT 7 天后，接受 HP 和 CVVH 或 HP、CVVH 和 PE 的患者的血尿素氮和血清肌酐水平更低。
结论
我们的研究表明，HP 和 CVVH 或 HP、CVVH 和 PE 是需要 RRT 的亚洲大黄蜂蜇伤患者的有效治疗方法。
