Interpersonal relationships in the course of long-term treatment were examined in 87 hypertensive patients and 10 district physicians. Patient's original ideal physician image (sex, age, professional experience, emotional characteristics, role attitude, etc.) and its influence on patient's co-operation in the rehabilitation program are analysed.
