A typical case of chronic atrophic polychondritis with chondritis of the ear and episcleritis is presented. The inflammation subsided on treatment with colchicine. This entity is rare. It has an uncertain prognosis and causes a wide variety of symptoms. Accordingly, the spectrum of conditions that need to be considered in the differential diagnosis is also wide.
