Abstract

Three cadmium coordination polymers, namely, {CdL(OAc)} (), {CdL(OAc)} (), and [CdL(OAc)(HO)] (), were synthesized by an exoditopic 1,4-bis(4-pyridyl)-2,3-diaza-1,3-butadiene Schiff base ligand () and cadmium acetate in the presence of different solvent systems. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis showed that 1D ladder pseudopolymorphic compounds ( and ) transformed to the solvent-free 1D linear compound through a rare case of water absorption from air at room temperature. Interestingly, compound was transformed to compound through a dissolution-recrystallization structural transformation process. The results illustrated that solvents and humidity have an important role in the formation of pseudopolymorphs with the same or different structural motifs.

通过一个外向型的1,4-双(4-吡啶基)-2,3-二氮杂-1,3-丁二烯席夫碱配体()和醋酸镉在不同溶剂体系存在下合成了三种镉配位聚合物,即{CdL(OAc)} ()、{CdL(OAc)} ()和[CdL(OAc)(HO)] ()。单晶X射线衍射、粉末X射线衍射和热重分析表明,一维阶梯状假多晶型化合物(和)在室温下通过从空气中罕见的吸水情况转变为无溶剂的一维线性化合物。有趣的是,化合物通过溶解-重结晶结构转变过程转变为化合物。结果表明,溶剂和湿度在具有相同或不同结构 motif 的假多晶型物的形成中起着重要作用。
