Remarkable uniformity exists in the teaching of removable partial denture prosthodont,cs in Canadian dental schools. The removable partial denture services requested by dentists and those provided by commercial dental laboratories do not appear to be as similar. A greater emphasis on continuing education for the dentist is needed, along with better and more detailed communication between the dentist and the dental laboratory. An educational program for dental laboratory technicians is also needed to further this goal.
