Abstract
Two new species of the genus Astenus Dejean, 1833, A. ambohitantelyensis Janák Baňař, sp. nov. and A. grebennikovi Janák Baňař, sp. nov. from Madagascar are described and illustrated. New records of eleven additional species are presented.
