[Spontaneous dissecting aneurysms of a coronary artery as a rare cause of postpartum death of the child's mother].

A case is reported of a fatal spontaneous dissecting aneurysm of the left coronary artery in a 37-year-old woman, 5 weeks after delivery of her fourth child. The frequency of such cases during the postpartum stage is discussed together with reference to the literature and special attention to the undetermined etiology of the clinical picture.
