In cases of genetic risks genetic counseling as an important support in decision making has developed from specific information transfer to a kind of client centered therapy. The progress in prenatal diagnosis and the possibility of replacing risk with security is about to debase the rationale of genetic counseling. No more the conscientious preparation and acceptance of family planning and a pregnancy at risk but the decision for or against the child is to be expected.
在遗传风险的情况下，作为决策重要支持的遗传咨询已从特定信息传递发展为一种以客户为中心的治疗方式。产前诊断的进展以及用安全性取代风险的可能性，即将削弱遗传咨询的基本原理。预计不再是认真准备和接受计划生育以及有风险的怀孕，而是关于是否要孩子的决定。
