[Treatment of vesicovaginal fistulas by ventral approach. Apropos of 10 cases].

An improved technic for exposure of urethrovesicovaginal fistula during operation by a low approach involves placing the patient in ventral decubitus with the thighs abducted and the buttocks separated. Successful results have been obtained in 7 of the 10 patients operated upon during the last two years. One of the 3 patients treated unsuccessfully had recovery surgery with a positive outcome, the 2 others presenting pronounced breaking down of urethra.
